a crimson coat
forgotten shoes
sky like inking and shadows still
no one moved but some one will
teacups set on painted lace
figures paused in quiet grace
no one speaks yet all is said
in eyes that flicker shades of red
canvas without a name to wear
tells a truth to find
to share
somewhere there a life began
trapped in time without a plan
oils dry where dreams once ran
captured in the artist hand
if you stare too long you'll see
the face behind
the mystery
