The things you don't remember remembering.

Lanterns swing on the porch outside
A golden globe where secrets hide
You hum a tune without a name
And I fall asleep inside the flame

Your whisper floats like candle light
Soft and low it soothes the night
The world fades out with every sigh
Just us and these lullabies
drifting under moonlit skies

Crickets chirp and time stand still
Wrapped in warmth and quiet will
If dreams could talk they'd say your name
Every note loves gentle flame

No need for words no need for clocks
We're dancing slow in shadowed walks
The stars might fade
but not your song will play in me
My whole life long

Your breath the breeze
your heart the tides
close your eyes the night is near but
Your melody my Shiny Star is always here

I imagine you moving at the speed of light
A light year is so very long
Just over 8.6 years to reach that Star
